PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction processing system which processes a transaction (a credit transaction) with a transaction destination selected from plural transaction destinations (card companies) by one card. SOLUTION: A transaction destination record 21 is stored for each issued card in a host device. A card company record for each card company is registered in the transaction destination record. When the ID card is inserted to a terminal equipment, a transaction with selected one of card companies registered in the transaction destination record 21 is processed. Consequently, a user carries this ID card without carrying plural cards to process a transaction with selected one of plural card companies.
