PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discharges of a vehicle battery caused by taking out an excessive current without preparing the operation of all load devices, at the time of the occurrence of a short circuit. SOLUTION: This device has a power device and has an input terminal 21 for a feeding voltage, two output terminals A, B for feeding voltage, and testing devices. At one output terminal a testing device tests the output terminal for the feeding voltage, related an effective short, i.e., an effective too small a resistance. The power device has switching devices 31, 31' and connects by conduction by a switching device a feeding voltage to be supplied here to the output terminal to be tested by the testing device, only until it is detected that no short circuit exists. Consequently, it becomes possible to continue voltage supply, on the occasion of a single fault. |
