PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the processing for increasing the incidence efficiency of light energy to amorphous silicon, as a protective cover which covers a photocell, and give property without moisture absorption. SOLUTION: This photocell is equipped with an insulating substrate 2 which serves as a support base; a battery body which consists of amorphous silicon 6 to perform photoelectric conversion, and a metallic electrode 12 where a first electrode 4 contacts with the bottom of the amorphous silicon 6 and a second electrode 5 is stacked on the amorphous silicon 6, partially in contact with the topside in condition that the amorphous silicon 6 is exposed, a protective layer 8 which covers the battery body; and a transparent adhesive 7 which bonds the protective layer and the battery body. As the protective layer 8, thermoplastic norbolnen resin of low moisture absorption and easy of processing is used, whereby the transformation by moisture absorption is prevented, and the processing for increase in incidence efficiency is facilitated. |
