PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper organic light emitting diode with low operating voltage for manufacturing a color display by forming a cathode with the first conductive layer, an electroluminescent layer of oxadiazole compound and an anode with the second conductive layer to transmit light from the electroluminescent layer through the anode. SOLUTION: On an OLED 10, an transparent anode accumulated on a substrate is formed as a source for positive hole groups, where they are joined to electron groups filled therein via a cathode 16 in a luminescent layer 14 to generate light. To accelerate the electron groups to be filled in the luminescent layer 14, an arbitrarily selected electron transportation layer 15 is used. Similarly, to accelerate the positive holes to be filled in the luminescent layer 14, an arbitrarily selected positive hole transportation layer 13 is contained between the anode 12 and the luminescent layer 14. The electron transportation layer 15 is preferably used to improve the efficiency of electrons to be filled in the luminescent layer 14. The positive transportation layer 13 matches the luminescent layer 14 to the anode 12 and a layer 131 improves the efficiency of the positive holes to be filled in the luminescent layer 14.
