PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a direction of polarization to the same horizontal direction as by a normal laser without requiring a complicate constitution or method, by selecting an arrangement angle of the laser in accordance with an inclination of the polarization of the laser so that a light enters from a slantwise direction seen from a plane to a rise mirror, compensating for the inclination of the polarization, and making the light entering the rise mirror horizontal. SOLUTION: A multi-divided Si photodiode is arranged as a photodetecting part 35 to an Si substrate 31, and a micro prism 32 is fixed to the substrate by a resin. A sub mount 33 of an AlN in which a self aligned stepped substrate laser (S3 laser) as an AlGaInAsP-series high-output red laser is fixed by a solder is arranged to face a rise mirror 32A of the micro prism 32. When the sub mount 33 is agreed with an axis 37 deflected by an angle αto a center axis 36, a polarization from the S3 laser becomes horizontal on a plane of the rise mirror 32A, so that a direction of polarization of a projecting light becomes the same. |
