PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a ignition coil as generates a desired high voltage without enlarging size. SOLUTION: In a housing 11 of a stick-like ignition coil, a center core 15, a secondary spool 20, a secondary coil 21, a primary spool 23, a primary coil 24, and a peripheral core 25 are housed in this order starting at a center toward a periphery. The peripheral core 25 is configured by winding a thin oriented silicon steel plate 25a of thickness 0.27 mm or below in three coaxial cylinders. Thus, without enlarging the size of line ignition coil, a magnetic flux that flows in a magnetic circuit constituted of the center core 15 and the peripheral core 25 is increased, and a secondary voltage value required for the ignition coil can be generated. |
