PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cutoff tape which prevents the leakage of a binder component for forming a water absorption layer from a base in a production stage by providing this tape with the water absorption layer which has excellent water cutoff performance, to which water absorptive resin particles are securely held and which has good adhesiveness to the base. SOLUTION: This water cutoff tape has the base 1, a sealing layer 2 and the water absorption layer 3. The sealing layer 2 contains a rubber based binder and inorg. fillers. The water absorption layer 3 contains 100 pts.wt. water absorptive resin particles, 2 to 10 pts.wt. rubber based binder and 0.5 to 20 pts.wt. isocyanate compd. More than 75% of the water absorptive resin particles have a grain size of <=100 μm and the water absorptive resin particles of the particle size exceeding 250 μm are substantially not incorporated therein. |
