PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subterranean box with a connecting panel, having a good installation workability in a buried conduit line for cables, and a structure having a high earthquake resistance for connecting it with a cable protecting pipe at a sidewall of the box. SOLUTION: A connecting sidewall 5a of a concrete subterranean box 2 is replaced with a connecting panel 6 out of a raw material different from this having a large number of connecting cylinders 8, and the strength of the sidewall is increased. Its connecting work is also facilitated without losing watertightness, only by putting an annular watertight packing 13 on the periphery of the end part of an independent corrugated cable-protecting pipe 4. and inserting this cable-protecting pipe 4 with this watertight packing 13 into a connecting cylinder 8. Even if any force in the axial direction of the pipe, in a direction perpendicular to this, or in the rotational direction is applied by an earthquake etc., it is possible to be dealt with.
