PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the lock ring which is easy to caulk and easily manufactured. SOLUTION: The lock ring 10, coupling a tensile strength body with the outer peripheral part of the rear end of a ferrule hold part holding a ferrule wherein an optical fiber obtained by removing the clad of the tip part of an optical cord having a coated optical fiber and the tensile strength body surrounding it inside, has a 1st annualr part 11 which is fitted onto the rear end outer peripheral part of the above-mentioned ferrule hold part, a 2nd annular part 12 which is positioned behind the 1st annular part 11 and has a smaller diameter than the 1st annular part 11, a step part 13 which couples the 1st annular part 11 and 2nd annular part 12 with each other, and a lock part 14 which projects inward from the rear end of the 2nd annular part 12 and locks the outer periphery of the optical cord atop; and those 1st annular part 11, 2nd annular part 12, step part 13, and lock part 14 are formed integrally of metal which is nearly equal in thickness. |
