PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route close to the demand of a driver by providing such a structure as searching the route to a destination from map information by use of a narrow road possible to travel according to the size of automobile. SOLUTION: A DC-ROM is installed in a data reproducing part 15 to record the road information classified by level on the basis of map information and size of road. A RAM 21 preliminarily stores and holds automobile information. A route search is designated through an input part 20, a control part 12 is set to search mode, and the width information and destination desired by a driver are inputted. Then, the control part 12 selects a road information level used for the search of the route to the destination on the basis of the road information read from the CD-ROM and the automobile information and width information from the RAM 21. The control part 21 preferentially selects a road corresponding to the selected road information level, and searches the route to the destination. Thus, a route remarkably close to the demand of the driver can be provided. |
