摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the freedom of setting direction of an acceleration sensor to a moving body without being limited by the setting direction of a navigation device body by providing a switching means for detecting the setting direction of an acceleration detecting means to the moving body and switching the polarity of output of the acceleration detecting means on the basis of the detected setting direction. SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 1 is mounted on a base 101 within a navigation device through a rotatable mounting base 102. Click stop recessed parts 103 are provided every 90 deg. on the peripheral part of the mounting base 102, and engaged with a protruding part provided on a guide 104, whereby a rotating mechanism is formed. The rotating mechanism is driven and rotated in order to fix the acceleration sensing direction of the acceleration sensor 1 to the advancing direction of a vehicle. Since the acceleration sensor 1 can be thus rotated by 90 deg., its setting direction to the vehicle can be selected from four directions. The mounting base 102 may have a knob or lever operable by a user. Two uniaxial acceleration sensors 1 may be mounted on the mounting base 102 in 90 deg.-directions (X, Y axes).
