PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device that properly eliminates an echo component by allowing an adaptive filter to latch a received signal series and a part reception signal series in response to a processing delay, using an output signal and the latched past reception signal series, so as to update a filter coefficient thereby generating a pseudo-echo signal. SOLUTION: An adaptive filter 8 updates a filter coefficient when update the coefficient is allowed, and a pseudo-echo signal E' (n) is generated, based on a reception signal X (n) and the filter coefficient at the time. The filter coefficient is updated for the adaptive filter 8 when double talk detector 7 allows the update of the filter coefficient and the pseudo-echo signal E' (n) is generated at each time based on the reception signal X (n) and the filter coefficient at the time. An adder 9 subtracts the pseudo-echo signal E' (n). |
