<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and efficiently perform more than three operations by pointing devices with respect to a keyboard having pointing devices. SOLUTION: A left button 21, a right button 22 and a middle button 23 of pointing devices are mounted between a key string (E to I) and an adjacent key string (D to K). A cursor control mechanism of the pointing device is mounted on this side of a key string that is the closest to an operator. When the operator usually places both hands on the keyboard, the index finger of his left hand is located on an F key and the index finger of his right hand is located on a J key. Here, when a corsor is made to be shifted while the buttons 21 and 23 are depressed, first, the index finger of the left hand is moved to the button 21, the index finger of the right hand to the button 23 and either of thumbs to the cursor control mechanism respectively. Next, the buttons 21 and 23 are depressed with the index fingers of both hands and the cursor control mechanism is operated with the thumb to move the cursor.</p> |
