The process of cleaning two opposite body faces consists of engaging the body (1) between two walls (5). These two walls are separated by a distance slightly less than the distance between the faces to clean, and have linings (6) on their opposite faces. The walls and their linings are subjected to vibrations and relative movement between the body and the walls is caused so that the linings rub on the body faces. The machine comprises a frame supporting an endless belt support (11) for the body. The belt has several rulers (12) forming a guide corridor for the body. The frame supports tables (13,14) one of which (14) can be separated from the fixed table by a mechanism (15) which can move relatively in the direction perpendicular to the conveyor.
