PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of colors for recording by merely purchasing respective image forming unit and to reduce the device cost by freely changing numbers and arranging positions of image forming means depending on the printing purpose. SOLUTION: In this device, successive sheet 25 whose both end in non-printing area is respectively held by respective tractor 20 and 21 is transported to the image forming unit 2, and the toner image is transferred on a first face of the successive sheet 25 by the image forming unit 2. Then, the successive sheet 25, whose traveling direction is changed through an angle of 180 deg. by the direction changing unit 10, transported to the image forming unit 9, and the other image is transferred on the second face of the successive sheet 25 by the image forming unit 9. The direction changing unit 10 is provided with recording material guide rollers 17 and 18, and the recording material pushing guide 19 for preventing a slack of the recording material. Moreover, the successive sheet 25 is allowed to pass through the tractor 21, transported to heat rollers 23 and 24, and fixed on the successive sheet 25 by heat and pressure respectively applied on the toner image forming on the first face and the second face therein. |
