PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a computer system in a large capacity virtual storage and to eliminate memory resources required for virtual storage management by specifying one of plural virtual storage page sizes determined by the step number of a conversion table and converting a virtual address to a real address. SOLUTION: A virtual page address for indicating the high-order 51 bits of a virtual address register 10 is inputted to two address conversion buffers(TLBs) 21 and 22. When it hits one of the TLBs 21 and 22, the real page address of a real page allocated to the virtual page of the virtual page address is set to the high-order 51 bits of a real page address register 30. The displacement (D) 12 bits of the virtual address register are set to the low-order 12 bits of the real page address register 30 as they are. In such a manner, in the case of hitting the TLBs 21 and 22, address conversion is completed at a high speed without access to address conversion tables 23-26. |
