PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the power consumption of a compressor by structuring a power supply providing with a switching unit switching the power supply between the commercial power and storage power for supplying power to the compressor and supplying the power from the storage power to the compressor converting the power to alternate current. SOLUTION: When the compressor 2 of a cooler 1 is stopped in multiple coolers 1, the switching unit 6 switches the power supply for the compressor 2 on a storage power supply 4 side according to the command from a control circuit 9. The storage power 4 is charged through a charger 7 timely during night or light load. When the start up of the compressor 2 is detected by a signal from the cooler 1, the compressor 2 is operated by the power supplied from the storage power supply 4 for predetermined time and then the power supply is switched to the commercial power 5 for continued operation. With such a control, rush current at the start up of the compressor is eliminated and the power consumption of the commercial power is equalized. |
