PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of torque shocks when a command torque to a motor changes to the negative from the positive or to the positive from the negative, by setting the command torque at zero for a prescribed period of time, when the sign of the command torque changes from either the positive or negative to the negative or positive. SOLUTION: A command torque calculating means 26 of a controller for an electric automobile, which is run by driving a running motor with electric power supplied from a battery calculates a command torque, by performing prescribed delay processing on a target torque calculated by means of a target torque calculating means 21. The calculating means 26 sets the command torque at zero for a prescribed period of time, when the sign of the command torque changes to the negative from the positive or to the positive from the negative. Therefore, the riding comfort of the vehicle can be prevented from being spoiled due to the torque shock of the running motor. |
