PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect the portable terminal to the internet at a moving destination by sending its own position information to an information service device, connecting to a communication network and receiving nearby access point information based on the position information. SOLUTION: A position information acquisition section of the portable terminal 10 acquires its own current position information. Then a line connection request is made to a server 13 in a provider 23. The server 13 obtains transmitted position information acquired by the portable terminal 10 and the portable terminal 10 corresponds thereto. The server 13, based on the position information, selects a nearby access point 17 in a telephone number list of access points 17 of the provider 23, transmits the selected access point to the portable terminal 10, which stores it to its built-in RAM and displays it. The telephone line is interrupted in this state, but since the nearby access point 17 is stored in the RAM of the portable terminal 10, the user makes automatic dialing to the access point with a simple operation. |
