PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct interference of an objective lens in the focusing direction and the tracking direction at the time of skew servo operation. SOLUTION: A tracking signal is delivered from a photodetector 160 divided into eight to an adder 222 through a phase compensator 180 and a gain regulator 181. A radial skew error signal is delivered from a two-dimensional skew sensor 131 to an active filter 221 through a phase compensator 184 and a gain regulator 185 to produce an interference correction current which is then added through the adder 222 to a tracking error signal and delivered to tracking coils 17-1, 17-2. A focus error signal is added with the interference correction current based on a tangential skew error signal and delivered to focus coils 16-1 through 16-4. |
