PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of the work in replacing the unit by a method wherein, when the unit of the same color unit is consumed, another unit of the same color is replaced and used by providing a plurality of units of the same color toner on the full color printer, and making them workable. SOLUTION: This image forming device is made possible to work even if providing at least two of developing units 13 for the same color toner, on respective mounting section of a developing unit 13 on the device main body side that is not normally supposed to placed to place plural units of the same color thereon, to detect the color of them, and to continue printing when the toner in one of the developing unit 13 is consumed by automatically switching the drive to the other developing unit 13 of the same color toner. In such a case, developing units containing the read (R) toner are arranged as two of the developing units 13a and 13b on the upstream side in the paper sheet transporting direction, and the developing units containing the black(BK) toner are arranged as two of the developing units 13c and 13d on the downstream side in the paper sheet transporting direction. |
