PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode member for maintaining electric characteristics, so as to prevent the degradation of the function of reducing toner heaped on the electrode member, in the developing zone of a developer unit for an electrophotographic printer. SOLUTION: The electrode member 42 whose top ends are supported by supporting members can electrically apply a bias to a donor roller 40, to separate the toner therefrom and form a toner powder cloud in the space between the donor roller 40 and a photoconductive surface 10. At least a part of the electrode member is covered with an organic coating such as a low surface energy organic coating. |
