PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of efficiently cooling a cell main body in simple structure and keeping good power generating performance over the long operation time. SOLUTION: A cell stack 3 is constituted with four unit cells 1 and two cooling plates 5, and a manifold 9 for gas inlet and outlet is arranged in the surrounding of the cell stack 3. A reformer 7 is connected to the cooling plates 5 in the top and bottom of the cell stack 3 through a control valve 10 and heat exchangers 81, 82. A heat exchanger 83 and a circulation system 12 are connected to the gas exhaust side of the cooling plate 5. The gas exhaust side of the heat exchanger 83 is connected to the manifold 9. The circulation system 12 is constituted with a pump 13 and a heat exchanger 84, and the gas exhaust side of the heat exchanger 84 is connected to the gas inlet side of the cooling plate 5. A temperature sensor 6, the control valve 10, the pump 13, and the amount of cooling water of the heat exchangers 82, 84 are controlled with a feedback system 11. |
