PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with facsimile communication function in which the portable telephone set itself sends a message to a facsimile receiver by limiting a form of a facsimile transmission document, so as to eliminate the need for connection of an option device or addition of a special hardware. SOLUTION: A CPU 13 of the portable telephone set converts a document that is entered by using an operation section 11 and a display section 12 and stored in an SRAM 15 into image data and executes a control program stored in a ROM 14 for communicating control data and transmits the converted image data to an opposite party facsimile receiver. In the entered document data, a routine form is adopted for part of the data corresponding to a facsimile transmission slip and a transmission destination, the number of document pages and a sender name are replaced with the user entry information. Text data entered from the operation section 11 are sequentially converted from character fonts into image data, which are transmitted. |
