PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which can prevent destruction of a contact in a connecting part of a flash lamp caused by an elapsed time, and connection of a connector in the connecting part from being left out. SOLUTION: This device has a flash lamp 1, a capacitor 2a, a connecting part 9 and a light emitting control means, and the capacitor 2 a is charged, so that light is emitted by a charged charge after charging is completed. In this case, a discharging means which is placed on a flash lamp 1 side of the connecting part 9 and discharges a charged charge of the capacitor 2a, a voltage detecting means 5 to detect a voltage of the capacitor 2a when discharging by the discharging means and a display part to display abnormality of the connecting part 9 are provided. When a number of light emitting times reaches not less than a specified value, discharging is started by the discharging means, after a specific time elapses, a detected voltage of the voltage detecting means is compared with a specified value, and when the detected voltage exceeds the specified value, abnormality of the connecting part 9 is displayed on the display part. |
