PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner which gives no uncomfortable feeling to a user and improves a heating and cooling efficiency by employing a CCD camera or artificial retina chips as an image input means, detecting the directions of objects such as furnishings and controlling wind so as to avoid or pass the furnishings. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner, furnishings are detected from an image obtained by an image input means 1 such as a CCD camera or artificial retina chips by detecting edges in a furnishings detecting means 2 and the directions of the furnishings are detected since a picture element in the direction viewed from the air conditioner corresponds to that of the direction of the furnishings by a furnishings direction detecting means 3 in the ratio of 1 to 1. The louvers, the vanes, the motor of wind power, etc., of the air conditioner are controlled by a wind control means 4 so that the wind control corresponding to the direction of the furnishings is performed. |
