The sub=frame (4), shaped to accept the base of the load (1), rests on the base (14) and tilts around the axis (13). The end fittings of the sliding arm (3) engage the end of the load (2) and the load is raised by operation of the hydraulic jack (15) pulling on the frame, while the sliding arm is jacked to pull the load onto the tilting frame. The load is pulled further onto the tilting sub=frame by a hydraulic jack which engages dogs on the base of the load, and takes several "bites" until the load is safely stowed. The equipment may be tailor=made for fitting to any specified vehicle.
