Fuel pump with roller tappet for injection of fuel into the cylinders of an internal combustion engine may be an individual pump element inserted in the crankcase (1) without a housing or can be a separate feed member (36) for a series injection pump. The feed number is inserted in a support body (37) and can be inserted in the pump opening of the crankcase. Preferably, a roller tappet (18) is inserted in a guide bush (20) which is in turn inserted into and adhesively bonded to the pump opening.
