Radio signal processing method

The method involves generating an amplitude limited reception signal (ES) from a radio signal (FS). A field strength measurement signal (FMS) is derived which represents the amplitude limited reception signal. The amplitude of the reception signal is modulated with the field strength measurement signal and digitised. The amplitude limited signal can be generated by multi-stage amplification of the radio signal. The field strength measurement signal can be generated by logarithmic rectification of the amplified radio signal. The amplitude limited reception signal can be delayed first of all to synchronise it with the field strength measurement signal.
