Pallet container for storing and transporting liquids

The pallet container has a thin-walled inner tank which is made from a thermoplastic plastics or sheet steel. The tank is enclosed tightly by a supporting jacket (14) of wire-mesh or tubular bars, which is connected rigidly to a base pallet (16) which is suitable for forklifts. The tank has an upper floor (18) with a filling opening (20), and if necessary can also have an extraction opening close to the base. The upper edge of the jacket has horizontal reinforcing elements, which run above the upper floor of the tank. The elements are in the form of integrated components (A) of the jacket, which are made from wire-mesh or tubular bars, and which initially extend upwards. The components are bent inwards by at least 90 degrees in the direction of the upper floor of the tank.
