Connection to release trapped water in downpipes in buildings

The closure head (1) of the cleaning aperture for a drainpipe or downpipe is inserted in the side arm (4) of a T-shaped piece. It has a sealing guide rib (3) on the inside of the closure head. It has a male thread engaging with the female thread of the extension connection. The closure head also has at least one inclined bore (6) which completely penetrates it. This bore issues inside of the closure head near its lower edge. A threaded extension (7) with a male thread is located at the outer end of the bore. The closure cover (8) is screwed onto it with a matching female thread (9). A tap or valve is inserted in the cover to allow water trapped in the pipe to be drained off.
