Light reflecting or dispersing glass pane production

A flat glass pane is coated with white, transparent or coloured transparent glass beads of 0.5-3 mm diameter by sprinkling the glass beads onto an applied adhesive oil or primer mixed with low melting transparent and optionally tinted glass flux (of melting point about 5-10% lower than that of the glass beads) or by wetting the beads with the adhesive mixture, scattering onto the pane and pressing with a second glass pane. The coated glass pane is heated to cause melting of the glass flux at 580-720 deg C for bonding the beads to the pane without deformation. Up to three coated glass panes may be heated simultaneously to produce multilayer glass panes.
