<p>The invention concerns a transmitting/receiving antenna comprising a network (10) of radiating elements (12) and means for controlling the amplitude and/or phase of signals transmitted or received by each element such that the antenna can transmit or receive according to a predetermined diagram. The network (10) comprises a number (N+Q) of radiating elements exceeding the requirements and the antenna comprises a control device to activate only the number (N) of elements required.
