The unit includes at least one light sensor and an electronic amplifier with a circuit, such as relay, transistors, thyristors or integrated circuit. A sound generator, a light generator or speech module is activated for warning driver to switch on headlamps. Preferably, the electronic circuit includes several light sensors for controlling not only the sighting but the right functions of each single headlamp and back lights. The electronic circuit may switch on automatically the headlamps when the sighting is bad.
