Data interpolation filter in form of wave filter

The filter has a stage containing a sample and hold section (30, 33, 34) with a multiplexer (32) to perform a multiplex operation on stereo data with left and right parts provided by an incoming control signal (S1, S2, S3 ...). From two of three delay units (37.39,41) of the sampling sections data is fed back in order to provide selectively sampled and held data for different channels. An adapter (31,35) has various filter coefficients (a1, a2, a3,.....b1, b2, b3,...) for the filter coefficient specific signals (SB1, SB2) supplied to it for filtering the data from the sample and hold section and to generate interpolated data. A filter signal delay unit (32, 36) delays the interpolated data in sampled signals (SLB1, SRB1, SLB2, SRB2, SLRB1, SLRB2).
