Control method for data input/output devices

The control method uses a control programme for control of the input/output device, e.g. a scanner or camera, via the data interfaces provided in the control programme. The input/output device may be started by a data open/read function, with a scanner data management function converting the data from the scanner before it is fed into the programme.
