Timber structural wall

Timber boards (1) are aligned in a particular direction, spaced from one another in a plane, and a second set of timber boards (2) is aligned in a second direction, spaced from one another in a second plane, forming a timber structural wall. A thermal insulating layer, the thickness of which corresponds at least the thickness of the grid boards of a particular plane is provided between the boards. The grid boards of one plane preferably run at right angles to those of the other plane or at an angle of 15-17 deg., particularly 45 deg. In one of the planes, the grid boards run parallel to 1 side edge of the timber wall. Width of the boards is preferably at least three times their thickness.
