<p>A fluidic ball diverter valve for use in aerospace applications for diverting the output of a fluidic amplifier (100) comprises a valve chamber having an inlet (98) and two outlets (82, 82). The orientation of the outlet valve seats (106, 108) is such that a line of action between the valve seats passing through the center of the valve ball (104) defines an angle less than 180 degrees. The orientation of the outlet valve seats permits the entire laminated fluidic amplifier module and at least a portion of the ball diverter valve itself to be mounted within the pressure vessel (74) of the gas generator (72) itself. By moving these components inside the pressure vessel, the pressure differential experienced by the components is substantially less than if the components were mounted outside the pressure vessel. This permits the components to be of substantially lighter construction.</p> |
