The case has at least one handle (2,3) and at least one locking mechanism by means of which the handle can be closed in a position in which it cannot be gripped. The locking mechanism can be controlled by a remote controller. A receiver unit is permanently installed in the case and the remote control unit is a hand-held device. Electromagnetic or acoustic waves transmitted between the transmitter and receiver carry control signals for the locking mechanism.
