The venturi nozzle has a funnel-shaped discharge nozzle with projections formed on its inner face (2). The inner wall of the funnel can have multiple reliefs formed on it (7) with a reducing cross-section from the upstream to the downstream side (8). The downstream sides of the projections can have rounded tips. The projections can have discharge edges on their rearward faces (9). The projections can be formed in annular arrays.
