<p>New 2,2'-bis(6-benzotriazolylphenol) compounds of general formula (1), wherein A represents methylene or the like; R?1 and R5¿ each represents hydrogen, alkyl or the like; R2 represents hydrogen or the like; R3 represents alkylene or the like; and R4 represents hydrogen or methyl. These compounds are useful as ultraviolet absorbers. These compounds can be copolymerized with a vinyl monomer to form copolymers. Polymer compositions containing the copolymers are usable as ultraviolet absorbers.</p> |
