摘要 The first material of this novel composite has greater compressive strength than the second. The first comprises lengthy elements (fibres), arranged as a reinforcing profile in layers of preferred direction, in the second material. In this way, externally-applied pressures are distributed over the fibre ends, without loading the second material. To assure uniform pressure distribution, the fibres are embedded in the second material, in geometrically- uniform distribution. If appropriate, loading forces are introduced onto the fibres by reinforced covering layers. Also claimed is the corresponding method of making the composite. The elements are formed into rows, with added spacing, bonding and filling materials. Covering is added.
