Saddle tube suspension for bicycle frames

Upper frame parts, e.g. top tube (3) and seat struts (4) are connected to a tubular sleeve (2), which moves axially on the seat tube (1). The frame parts are fixed in their positions relative to the seat tube via elastic elements. The sleeve is fixed on the seat tube by spring elements, e.g. helical metal elements (8), sleeve-shaped or solid plastics elements, rubber, or oil or air or gel-filled elements etc. A top stop (5) is axially movable by turning on a thread in the seat tube. The tubular sleeve is separated from the seat tube by a tubular section or a foil, to reduce friction.
