The first component (12) is pivotable relatively to the second component (14) in a first direction (X) from a first position in which the first and second components have aligned longitudinal axes (A,B) into a second position in which the longitudinal axes are at right-angles to one another, and in the opposite direction (Y) back to its first position. A third component (16) is of one-piece structure with the cushion frame or is fixed to it. The second component is pivotable in the opposite direction (Y) relatively to the third component from a position in which the longitudinal axis (B) of the second component is vertically located. A back rest adjustment mechanism (18) is fixed and operable on the third component. Locking devices (20,30,34) are provided on the back rest adjustment mechanism and on the second component (14). They lock the second component in the pivot position adjusted by the back adjustment mechanism.
