The tool has a clamping device (1), and the pipe (7) is held in the device, which has an associated bending roller (2). The pipe is bent by a lever (10), which is turnable about the roller and has a guide element (18.1). The roller has two grooves (19.1,19.2) at a distance to each other, which correspond approx. to the outer profile of the pipe. The bend (20) of the pipe is continously adjustable between 0 deg and 180 deg . The clamping device has an upper clamp jaw (4) and a lower clamp element (5). The roller is fastened to upper or lower jaw/element via a carrier (3). The upper clamp jaw is pressure-charged relative to the clamp element.
