The arrangement has a control lever (10) mounted on the steering column, which can be set into the positions SET+ and SET- and has a button (12) which can be set into the positions WA and AUS. The vehicle speed regulator and control lever are components of a distance-regulated vehicle speed regulator, whereby by operating the control lever and/or the button the distance-regulated vehicle speed regulator can be activated or deactivated and speed and distance demand values set.
