The apparatus has a frame with a step plate suspended in four points. The frame can (1) be erected variably within a protective cage. The step plate is suspended via elastic ropes. The number of these can be varied so that the user's feet can apply a load at the front, back, or the sides. The suspension can also be varied to take the user's weight into consideration. Grip bars in the cage are height-adjustable. Two vertical support bars can be fitted into the frame, if a user needs to exercise above a height of 90cm.
