The facade component has an external plate connection and electric devices e.g. solar cells (40) are arranged between an external plate combination of an outer plate (10) and an inner plate (12). The devices have electric leads (42) to external connections to a network. The component also has an inner plate or an inner plate combination (20,22). This is arranged spaced from the external plate combination by a spacer frame. to define an inter-plate space. An inter-plate space seal (34) is arranged at least at the edges of the component to form a gas-tight seal around the inter-plate space. The electric leads are guided perpendicular to the surface of the plates. They first pass through the inner plate of the external plate combination. Next, they are at least partly embedded in the seal. Finally they pass through the inner plate combination out of the component.
