FIELD: mechanical engineering; cleaning air from microparticles and microorganisms. SUBSTANCE: device has base means accommodating filtering sources of ultraviolet irradiation and ventilation means. Base means can be equipped with preferably remote controlled arrangements to set means for complete or partial passive operation to provide harmless ultraviolet cleaning or irradiation of air and or to active operation, in particular, to open ultraviolet irradiation of objects and surface in room preferably in combination with cleaning of room air. Device provides high efficiency and effectiveness of cleaning as to collection of particles, extermination of fungi, bacteria and viruses.
