摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biocompatible material having specific compatibility for biocomponents and having effects such as inhibition of platelet aggregation and inhibition of platelet activation by e.g. ADP by incorporating a specified amount of (meth)acrylic acid serine ester as a constituent in the polymer. SOLUTION: At least 15 mol% (meth)acrylic acid serine ester represented by formula I (R is H or methyl) is incorporated in the polymer by radical polymerization. Further, this polymer contains a (meth)acrylic acid serine ester represented by formula II (R and R<1> is H or methyl; R<2> is a 1-20C alkyl; m is 2-20,000; n is 0-30,000; provided that the case in which n=0 and m=2 is excluded; 2<=m; and the units within the brackets are bonded to each other to form blocks or a random sequence) and has a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000-5,000,000. The copolymerizable monomer is exemplified by methyl (meth) acrylate. The polymerization conditions include 4-100 deg.C and 1-50 hr.
